Majestic Flying Reeves's Pheasant (Syrmaticus reevesii), a stunning avian specimen native to China, meticulously preserved to capture its intricate beauty and remarkable history. Named in honor of the renowned British naturalist John Reeves, who introduced live specimens to Europe in 1831, this large pheasant boasts a captivating appearance, with the male showcasing vibrant scaled golden white and red plumage, complemented by a strikingly long silvery white tail, adorned with chestnut brown barring. Its distinct features include a white head with a black narrow band across its eyes, grey legs, brown iris, and red skin surrounding its eyes. Notably, the Reeves's Pheasant made its mark in the Guinness World Records 2008 edition for possessing the longest natural tail feather of any bird species, measuring an impressive 2.4 meters (8 feet).
