A Fourth quarter, 18th century mahogany octagonal rotating top library rent table with molded edge and later green leather lining, with an octagonal shaped central hinged top well with slide lock. The interior wells has a false side that conceals a secret compartment, (probably for hiding money) above eight inlaid lettered drawers A-Z, on square pedestal base with door enclosing one fixed shelf, with recessed brass casters on square molded base. (3 keys included. One for base, two for draws.) Leather stained. Otherwise, the piece is structurally sound and in good antique condition, with wear commensurate a with age and use. Table measures 30" Tall and 43 1/4" in Diameter. Each of the Eight Octagonal Sides measures 18".
