Deconstructed Hercules Beatle (Dynastes Tityus) Under Custom Glass Case

The eastern Hercules beetle, which is native to the Eastern United States, belongs to the rhinoceros beetle species. Its mature elytra can exhibit shades of green, gray, or tan, adorned with black patterns. The entire creature, including the prominent horns of the male, showcases these characteristics.

The deconstruction technique invented by anatomist Edmé François Chauvot de Beachêne in France in the 19th century involves the meticulous disassembly of all the components of a skull or crustacea. In this case, the pieces are re-articulated and positioned in an exploded array on a copper wire support. This is the same technique as the anatomical drawings of Leonardo da Vinci.

Measures: 10.25" x 10.25" x 10.25" H

Due to the fragility of this piece, only white glove shipping quotes are available at checkout.
