19th Century Watercolor of Camels & Rider Signed & Dated, Louis Aimable Crapelet

19th Century Watercolor of Camels and Rider, Signed Louis Aimable Crapelet (1822–1867),
A finely executed 19th-century watercolor depicting a desert scene with a rider and three camels against a softly glowing sky, signed and dated by Louis Aimable Crapelet (French, 1822–1867). Crapelet was a French Orientalist painter known for his evocative landscapes and scenes of North Africa and the Middle East, where he captured the light, atmosphere, and daily life of the region with great sensitivity. This composition exemplifies his fascination with travel and the exoticism of desert life, rendered with delicate brushwork and warm tonalities. Presented in a giltwood frame with matting and artist’s attribution plate. A fine example of Orientalist watercolor art from the mid-19th century. Dimensions: Depth 0.5" Width 15.5" Height 12.5"
